Ammo Belt
How much is my 1918 springfeild model 1903 worth?
it was manufactured in 1918
serial code is 927427
has not been touched for +40 years
has a few rust spots o the barrel
i have the original sling
i also have a ammo belt thing with ammo from the period

the ammo is about 10 armor peircing bullets as well as about 15 hunting bullets i assume, all from the period the gun was made
Reworks bring around 800.00. Yours could bring a bit less, or a lot more, condition depending. If it's still in it's original blue, even more, as almost all of the rifles were pulled off the racks and Parkerized in the late 1920's.
Take it to a professional gunsmith and have it cleaned and thoroughly inspected for any possible modifications, as rifles in original "as issued" condition are worth more than one that has been "sporterized". Have the gunsmith also verify exactly which model you have (there were a couple of variants in that period).
Regardless, you have a fine rifle!
