Dress Uniform
Does he have to wear a mess dress uniform?
My boyfriend is enlisted in the air force and we are going to the air force ball this weekend. He recently noticed the flyer said "mess dress required" does this include Airmen or is it assumed they know they can wear semi formals?
If it says Mess Dress required, then they mean it. Best bet would be to contact the POC for the ball and get an answer from them. There will be no doubts then.
I've seen all kinds dress requirements, from BDU's only to Suit and Tie only (for a military function!, no AF uniforms allowed!). Always check to make sure!
