Fbi Files

I was fingerprinted. Can I have my finger print records expunged from FBI files?

My wife and I were involved in an argument about 4 years ago. It got a bit heated (no physical nature) to the extent I dialled 911. Cops came and after taking both our stories, decided to lock us up in a county jail. We were both finger printed but was released the second day. No criminal charges were filed. As a result of this, both our finger prints now appear in the FBI files. I regreted to have called 911 and now has to live with the rest of my life knowing i have my finger prints on FBI records. Is there any way we can have the finger print records expunged from FBI files? Appreciate honest answers from legal professionals reading this board or someone who have similar experiences. Thanks in advance.

No, they will not remove prints from their files.

Because there is no conviction associated with your prints, there should be no repercussions from having them on file.
