Special Forces Airborne Army vs Army?
Whereas if you qualify for both special forces and airborne and you have the choice to go to one, who would you go under. And by special forces I mean sabotauge and HALO jumps, etc., and I mean the air along the lines of E. 82nd mean, would you stay more in the air or you try to move up in Special Forces
Not suppress other answers. They are kind and helpful without being disrespectful to other users, but to provide information accurate. I work with SF and I'm Airborne. So here it goes ... The U.S. military now allows PFC (E-3) in a MOS 18X entitled. which means they eventually ascend the ranks during the training to a SPC / CPL (E-4). when they are finished. But (E-4) is authorized to access the Q-Course. Then you must be the air before the class Q. You can become Halo until you had a number of jumps. And you dont need to be Halo SF. SF is an elite force that is used to liberate the oppressed. They teach and learn constantly. If you have excellent teamwork skills and can make choices under pressure while SF is the path. It is a challenging and rewarding task. I have future plans to go SF in time. Physical fitness is recommended, however if you can score at least 240 on the PT test and have a strong desire to drive on you should not have a problem. I would go SF. If you're ready to take the challenge. The 82nd Airborne is unlike other airborne units. The 82nd seems to be in a different mindset. Most guys seem 82nd motivated and disciplined. With respect to high military honor. Well for both SF and 82nd, they seem to have a brothership eternal. The 82nd is a family and thus the SF. Just not the same family. Both are trained and well equipped. Good luck my friend.
