Navy Combat
does the navy have any combat troops other than navy seals?
Im not sure whether I should try to join the navy or th army,I want to do a combat job...but does tha navy have another combat MOS other than navy seals?...and does navy seals cut people if they're not good enough?what about a fighter pilot?do u have to be actice duty for that or reserve?
I recently got out of the Army, and I worked with a few Navy people as well so I might be able to help. While the Army has dozens of combat related jobs, so does the Navy.
In Iraq, I worked alongside of Navy people whose jobs were not combat related, they just served as "bodies" to fill the spaces, while combat troops from the Army worked did paperwork.
In the Army, if you want flexibility I'd recommend Military Police (MOS: 31B). You could be doing anything, especially combat related.
In the Navy, many jobs are combat related, depending on what you call combat. If you're looking for "direct" combat (I hope not), then join the Army. But if you want to be on a carrier, or do indirect combat theatre work, then the Navy is for you.
