Rifle Coat
Anyone know of a good Savage 99 gunsmith?
While living in Alaska I had a local shop (no longer in business) apply a black teflon finish to my late model 99 and didn't find out until later that the smith also coated/plated the ammo spool in the receiver. Now the rifle will not feed rounds up if more that two are in the magazine. So now I need a competent smith who can take it apart, polish out the teflon and make it feed properly again.
Any competent Gunsmith should be able to do that.* Check the yellow pages or talk with members of gun or shooting Clubs, they should be able to recommend him.*
