Shelter Half
How can I housebreak my 1 year old shelter dog?
She does go outside sometimes but she is still going in the house. We take her out at least 5 or 6 times a day. However, she will pee/poop in the house within a half hour after going outside. I really need some help with this because my husband is going to make me get rid of her if she can't be trained.
Take her out first thing in the morning. Stay with her until she finishes. Praise and reward her when she "goes." Take her out after each meal. Stay with her until she "goes." Take her out just before bedtime. Stay with her until she "goes." You will need lots of patience.
