Special Forces
What type of physical condition is required to join the special forces?
I'm not familiar with the various military programs available, but am particularly curious about the special forces. What sorts of things can one do on a day-to-day basis to prepare for joining such a cohort?
Where can I go to do a preliminary testing of my intellectual and physical capabilities, as to assess, on a tentative basis, my odds of success?

Special Forces requires more than just athletic ability. It is also a mental thing. How do you function when you are stressed? How about cold, hungry, tired, and stressed? Only a "few" make the cut for special forces because it is physically and mentally demanding. How would you function if you didn't sleep for 24/hrs, sleeping in a cold and wet trent, with no food for 2 days, and you have to huff a 50lbs pack 20 miles and attack a target? Will you "quit" when the mission seems impossible? Quitters are not accepted. People who make the cut are folks who are willing to never quit, no matter the obstacles placed in their path. And for good reason.
The question is, are you willing to trade your life to accomplish a mission?
