K&N Air filter installation on my 97 Cavalier (2.4L) ??

Thinking about putting an air filter in to get a little more "umph" in my cav. Will eventually put in a whole muffler system but was looking to start here. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to install this myself?
I've seen them sold all over, but I don't know that much about my engine so I'm not sure if I could do it myself or if I should take it somewhere and have it done for me.
I've heard its not that difficult, and I'd like to do it myself. Can anyone walk me through this or even suggest a site to help me out?? Thanks!!
Sorry, I meant to say K&N cold air intake system. Not just to replace the air filter, although I can do that easily enough.

They really should not be that hard, if it's a drop in filter, all you do is take the old one out, and pu tht enew one in.

A complete cold air is not hard, everythign should come off fairly easy and the new stuff goes on. They should give you good instructiosn. And with a little mechanical know how it shouldn't be hard at all.

Just be ware, that some people haev problems with K&N filters, adn any filter that requires oil like it. The oil from the filter can flow into the intake tube, and get onto the mass air sensor, which tells teh engine how much air is entering the engine, so it can adjust properly in teh computer. When it gets dirty your engine may not run as well.

To help avoid this make sure you don't overoil your filter, a nice clight coat is all tha is needed on it.
