Camo Helmet
Sunday, January 30th, 2011In the Marine Corps when you're givin gear, like helmet / camo / bulletproof vest?
ok, so obviously I do not know if you have made in Iraq or wherever you're going to get speed, but did you just get it when your deployed or when your job or what? How it works and what about guns? thanks
In the Marines, your hardware is supplied by your device. When you arrive at your unit you "check in" administrative office. They check your orders you refer to a sub-unit or directly to your ticket. When you get to your unit billetting, the platoon you work, you will be given a living space, which may be temporary if you may be granted housing off base. From there, you will be go to the offer and get your equipment and control to other places like the docs of your medical record. you are assigned a weapon to the arsenal and you get that from the armory where you need it and return it when you do not need. If your device must be deployed you take your equipment with you and the staff of the offer and the armory will be traveling with you. In general, you keep your weapon and gear with duece you at all times during the deployment. I was once stationed with an infantry unit and transferred to a unit that is currently deployed in a combat zone. I had to turn in all my equipment during the audit, then travel without combat equipment to the new unit. The guys on the helicopters let me borrow kevlar but I had no weapon or other gear duece. On arrival the new unit, he went just as I described above
