Why has the President just activated the 3rd. Infantry Division within the US?

I looks like Washington is getting nervous about civil unrest as a result of the financial mess.

I haven't read or heard anything about your claim. I would think the news would be jumping all over that. Wouldn't the national guard be notified as well?

Who knows what they, (the 3rd) are going to be used for. Regardless, your second statement is on the high side of speculation.
