Why was Canada involved in the Korean war? What did Canadian troops do in Korea during the war?

What were some reasons given to why the Canadian troops got involved in the Korean war?

Canadians were involved because Korea was a "police action" committed by the United Nations. The US has the largest representation in the United Nation, so the Korean war is often seen as an American war, but there were troops from all over the globe, including Australia and Britain.
