Saturday, May 1st, 2010Marine Corps tattoo policy? I have a tattoo on my back that pokes up on to my neck slightly.
I have a tattoo of a Sun on the back of my neck. I had it done when I was 22. I got it because I had just started a new life with my wife after a pretty tough upbringing. It is not gang related and it is just a simple sun. It would not be visible in uniform, and only partially visible when wearing a T-shirt. It starts between my shoulder blades and ends about 1 inch above a typical T-shirts collar. Am I simply just disqualified or can I obtain a waiver for this sort of thing?
If it touches the neck it will be fine..You can not have a tattoo covering an entire body part and they do not want a solid tattoo in the neck..
What you have is a tattoo which goes into the neck and this should not make a difference.
