Wednesday, March 10th, 2010navy seals or force recon?
hi i'm 14 and i would like to be in the special forces who gets more training force recon or navy seals also who get's more hand to hand combat training? also what could i do to prepare myself for training?and also please tell me a little bit about each of the special forces i'll give best answer to who ever can give me the most information thanks!
also list some of your own expeinces if you have ben in the special forces
You are 14 years old. Focus on doing well in school and staying in good health and out of trouble. Becoming a part of an elite special operations military unit is so far away for you right now that you should not be worried about it at all. Focus on the 25m target, not the 1000m target.
To set you straight on a few points, Special Forces are an elite division of the Army and they alone are Special Forces (commonly referred to as "Green Berets"). Navy SEAL's and Force Recon fall under the title of Special Operations Forces. Army Special Forces, Marine Force Recon, and Navy SEAL's all undergo similar training but each training pipeline focuses a little more heavily on a certain aspect of the training. SEAL's obviously conduct the most underwater/diving training. Army SF does not require much underwater/diving training, but focuses on land navigation, cultural training, and advanced land tactics. Force Recon is more similar to Army SF. Bottom line here is, do a lot of research before asking questions and focus on being the best student you can be right now. You cannot join these elite units until you are at least 20 years old, and that is still too young for many individuals who have not matured enough. Stay focused kiddo.
