How do I get candle wax out of a plush carpet?
The carpet is a poly blend, not wool.

Try the ice first, You can even buy a areosol product for wax and chewing gum. I know schools have this problem....Worst case - put single sheets of newspaper over the area and try using a clothes iron...to absorb the wax...Btw, carpet layers can patch some carpet like plush for example. Its common with cigarette burns...Good Luck
